... Read moreIf you’re planning to visit Taipei, Sanwei Shitang (三味食堂) is definitely a must-try for fresh sashimi lovers. The quality and generous portions there make it a classic that sticks with you long after. Another night market gem is 阿宗麵線 (Ah Zhong Vermicelli), an iconic spot famous for its rich and simple vermicelli dish that captures the essence of Ximending’s bustling food culture. Apart from savory delights, don’t miss out on little gems like 小仙島 for its unique ginger milk tea—a comforting drink with a distinctive flavor that the passionate owner enthusiastically shares stories about. The 思慕昔 Smoothie House is famous for its massive mango snow ice, a perfect treat to cool down after exploring the city. If you love crispy street food, 豪大大雞排 in Shilin offers juicy, gigantic fried chicken that’s a popular night market staple. For a bowl of heartwarming comfort, 永康牛肉麵 serves up rich beef noodle soup that truly soothes your soul. Lastly, 陳記專業蚵仔麵線 is another option to indulge in vermicelli, this time loaded with oysters and intestines, providing deep satisfying flavors. These places combine to make Taipei a food paradise that stays in your memory long after you leave. Whenever I crave authentic Taiwanese street food, these names immediately come to mind, reminding me of the vibrant night markets and welcoming vibe of Taipei’s food scene.
