🍋Here’s my honest rating & reviews on some of my favorite BODY OILS!
In addition to loving body butters I am now starting to really appreciate body oils! Body oils alone are great but paired with your favorite lotions or body butters elevates them to another level! They’re also perfect for layering with your favorite perfumes or body mist because they help the scents stick to your skin longer. Body oils are also really hydrating especially for the winter months when your skin is the dryest.

... Read moreHey Baddies! So, you've heard me rave about integrating body oils into my routine, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for achieving that ultimate glow. Beyond just feeling luxurious, body oils are powerhouse hydrators, especially when those winter months roll around and our skin gets extra thirsty. But how do you pick the right one with so many options out there? Let me share some of my insights and what I look for when adding a new oil to my collection.
First off, I've learned that not all body oils are created equal. Some are fantastic for deep hydration, like the hyaluronic acid and coconut oil blend I adore – it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft with that delicious, sweet coconut scent. Others, like a good Brazil nut body oil, can be super hydrating and even act as an amazing dupe for higher-end options, giving you that luxurious feel without breaking the bank. It's all about understanding what your skin needs and what sensory experience you're after.
When I'm trying out a new body oil, I pay close attention to several things. Scent is a huge one for me. I mean, who doesn't want to smell amazing all day? I've fallen in love with things like a strawberry cheesecake body and bath oil for its incredible aroma, or a classic vanilla cashmere body oil that just smells divine, especially when layered with my favorite lotion or body butter. Then there are the subtler ones, like a pistachio-scented or vanilla bean-scented oil, which are affordable and feel great, though sometimes I wish their scents were a bit stronger.
Texture and absorption are also key. I’ve tried oils that are thick, like the crème caramel golden body oil which smells exactly like sweet caramel candy and has a little shimmer for that extra glow. Others, like the Tahitian coconut nourishing body oil, are perfect for applying right after a shower on damp skin, helping to lock in moisture effectively. The goal is to find an oil that sinks in beautifully without leaving a greasy residue, leaving your skin feeling supple and looking luminous.
One of my favorite hacks is using body oils for scent layering. Because oils create a barrier on your skin, they help perfumes and body mists adhere better and last longer. Imagine pairing a coconut vanilla body oil with a tropical fragrance, or a vanilla almond body oil with a warm, gourmand scent. It truly elevates your fragrance game and makes you smell incredible throughout the day. It also works wonders for hydrating dry skin and leaving it with a healthy, glowing finish.
Ultimately, finding the best body oil is a personal journey. My philosophy is to look for products that offer a blend of nourishing ingredients, delightful scents, and a texture that works for your skin type. Whether you're looking for ultra-hydration like my favorite coconut vanilla body oil that's perfect after showers with body butter, or a delightful aroma like the strawberry cheesecake one, there's a body oil out there for everyone. Keep experimenting, keep glowing, and let your skin thank you!
