Looking for Advice

I feel like the breakout is worse in real life vs this photo, but I recently switched from washing my face with Nutrogenia’s acne scrub to Cerave’s gentle foaming cleanser and I feel like this breakout is worse than ever! I’m also wondering if this could be an allergic reaction? Any advice and product recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Switching from Neutrogena’s acne scrub to CeraVe’s gentle foaming cleanser is a big step, as gentle products can sometimes worsen breakouts initially while the skin adjusts. If you suspect an allergic reaction, consider reviewing the ingredients in your new cleanser. Some users find that products with certain active ingredients may trigger a reaction, leading to irritation. It’s essential to introduce new products gradually and observe how your skin responds. For managing breakouts, consider incorporating non-comedogenic moisturizers and treatment products containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, which are proven to help with acne. Always patch-test new products to prevent potential reactions. Don't hesitate to reach out to skincare communities online, as shared experiences can offer invaluable insights.
