Touched down in Arkansas!!! 2am-6pm travel day 🫣 honestly it wasn’t bad! It’s so weird traveling by myself- I’m not used to not having anyone else to worry about lol. I got a lot of work done and watched a movie on the plane 🥹💗
Traveling solo can be a truly eye-opening experience, especially when it involves a long day from early morning till evening like my trip to Arkansas. What stood out most to me was the mix of emotions—there’s the excitement of reaching a new destination and the unusual feeling of not having to manage or consider anyone else’s needs but my own. This freedom allowed me to focus more on myself and my productivity. During the flight, I found that bringing along some snacks and a good movie can really enhance the journey, turning flight time into a pleasant break rather than just transit. For those also venturing out alone, it’s helpful to pack a small bag with essentials like makeup for touch-ups, comfortable but presentable clothing, and a bit of downtime planned so you don't feel overwhelmed by the travel schedule. Being at the airport early gave me some spare time to relax, observe, and prepare mentally for the change in environment. Waiting and security checks were surprisingly manageable when approached with a calm mindset. Solo travel is often underrated but it offers a unique opportunity to learn about oneself and improve planning skills. This trip reminded me how valuable it is to stay flexible and open-minded, soaking in the new surroundings and moments of calm. Whether it’s working on tasks during the flight or enjoying a solo movie, these small activities can make travel days not just bearable but truly fulfilling.
