Rebranding a shop, especially one dedicated to scrapbooking and journaling supplies, is no small feat. It takes not only creative energy but also a lot of planning and inspiration to decide on a new direction and visual identity. In my case, the process involved creating a fresh logo and developing new patterns that reflect the essence of my artistic style. What excites me most about this rebrand is the opportunity to introduce new items that cater directly to the scrapbooking community—like tracings, handmade stickers, and journaling materials that can be used in junk journals and traditional scrapbooks alike. Adding these unique supplies allows me to reduce screen time by focusing on hand-drawing elements and crafting tangible products that scrapbookers and journal enthusiasts can enjoy. I also found that the rebrand helped me refocus my business strategy. By narrowing my product offerings and aligning them with the specific needs of journaling and scrapbooking fans, I can better serve this creative niche. This decision was inspired partly by my own desire to slow down digitally and cultivate a more tactile creative experience. In addition to physical products, staying connected with the community through hashtags such as #scrapbooking, #junkjournal, and #journaling has been invaluable for sharing ideas and discovering trends in the DIY world. Engaging with platforms like Instagram and TikTok through these hashtags also spreads awareness of my rebrand and new offerings. Overall, rebranding can be challenging but deeply rewarding. It allows makers to reassess their goals, connect with customers on a fresh level, and bring innovative, heartfelt products to life. For fellow creatives considering a similar step, my advice is to embrace the process fully, stay true to your vision, and focus on what brings you joy in your craft.
