cinnabonbreakfast sandwich
ingredients:
box of cinnabons
eggs
bacon
slice of cheese
~~~~~~~~~~~
cut cinnabon in half so it can look like 2 pieces of bread. cook bacon of choice in a skillet and cook until golden. (my personal preference maple bacon) it smells and tastes so good lol. take bacon out of the skillet and place onto paper towel so that the grease can get off of the bacon. crack eggs into a bowl add preferred seasonings and add 2 slices of cheese mix together and place into a skillet. cook eggs until done place cinnabon into microwave for 15 seconds until soft because it can be hard when heated up for longer. place a few pieces of bacon to the bottom piece add eggs on top and the rest of the bacon on top of the eggs and add top piece of cinnabon and enjoy
Okay, so I've been seeing this Cinnabon breakfast sandwich trend everywhere, and I finally decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, my mind is officially blown! You might think a sweet cinnamon roll paired with savory bacon, egg, and cheese sounds a little wild, but trust me, it’s a game-changer. It’s got that perfect sweet and salty balance that makes your taste buds sing, and it's surprisingly easy to whip up right in your own kitchen. I always start with a box of classic Cinnabons – the bigger, the better for a substantial sandwich. My go-to is to gently warm them up in the microwave for just about 15 seconds. This makes them perfectly soft and easy to slice through without squishing all that delicious frosting. Then, I carefully cut each Cinnabon in half, creating two 'buns' for my sandwich. This part is crucial for getting that authentic breakfast sandwich feel. Next up, the bacon! For me, thick-cut maple bacon is non-negotiable. The sweetness of the maple really enhances the cinnamon flavor. I cook it in a hot skillet until it’s perfectly crispy, then I lay it on a paper towel to drain any excess grease. No one wants a soggy sandwich! While the bacon cooks, I quickly whisk up my eggs. I like to add a splash of milk or cream, a good pinch of salt and pepper, and then fold in some shredded cheddar or a slice of American cheese right into the mixture before scrambling. This makes the eggs incredibly fluffy and ensures every bite has that melty cheese goodness. Assembling is the fun part! On the bottom half of a warmed Cinnabon, I layer a few strips of that crispy bacon. Then, I pile on the scrambled eggs, followed by the rest of the bacon on top of the eggs. Finally, crown it with the other half of the Cinnabon. Sometimes, I even sprinkle a little extra powdered sugar on top, just like the image showed – it adds an extra touch of indulgence and makes it look super fancy, even though it took minutes to make. Now, for those wondering, "Does Cinnabon have egg?" — as far as I know, you won't find this specific combination on their official menu. That’s what makes making it at home so special! You get to customize it exactly how you like, and it becomes this secret indulgent treat. If you're feeling adventurous, don't be afraid to experiment with variations. Instead of bacon, try a savory sausage patty or even some thinly sliced ham. For cheese, while American or cheddar works great, a sharp provolone could add a nice zing. I've even thought about adding a tiny dab of cream cheese frosting on the inside for an extra sweet kick, transforming it into more of a "cinnamon roll sandwich" with a savory twist. And if you don't have Cinnabons, a regular cinnamon bun or even a honey bun would work wonderfully, giving you that 'honeybun sandwich' vibe. For busy mornings, you might be wondering if these are "easy meals to freeze and reheat in microwave." While they’re best fresh, you can prep components. Cook your bacon and eggs ahead of time. Store them separately. In the morning, quickly reheat the Cinnabon, then warm the fillings and assemble. I wouldn’t recommend freezing the assembled sandwich as the Cinnabon texture might suffer, but the individual components can definitely be prepped. This makes it a fantastic alternative to your usual "Panera's breakfast menu" or other typical breakfast sandwich recipes when you want something truly special and comforting. This sweet and savory creation is definitely a winner in my book, and I bet it will be in yours too!
That looks delicious I will try it out!
