That Was Not Funny. And so weird.

Offset “jokingly” said Cardi B’s kids were his… and honestly, as a grown man, that’s such a strange thing to joke about.

Like, why are you involving someone else’s children in your humor? They’re not props.

It just feels off, especially coming from a grown adult who knows how messy the internet can get.

I don’t know if he thought it was cute, funny, or what, but it just came across as unnecessary and weird.

What do you think? Harmless joke or totally out of line?

... Read moreThe incident where Offset joked about Cardi B's children being his has raised important questions about boundaries in humor, especially when it comes to involving children who are not one's own. Many people find it unsettling when adults make jokes that involve other people's kids, as children are sensitive and not public figures by choice. Joking about children in this way can blur lines, potentially exposing them to unwanted attention or misunderstanding. In the age of social media, statements made by celebrities or public figures are often amplified and can fuel widespread debate. When Offset made the joke, some perceived it as harmless banter, while others found it inappropriate and insensitive. This controversy highlights the importance of being mindful about who or what is included in humor, especially when it involves families and children. Additionally, the internet can quickly distort intentions, making a joke seem more serious or threatening than intended. This is why many advise caution in jokes involving others' personal lives, as they can impact reputation and relationships. Ultimately, humor should be respectful and considerate, avoiding using others as props, particularly vulnerable individuals like children. This discussion invites us all to reflect on the fine line between playful teasing and crossing boundaries. What one person finds funny, another might find hurtful or uncomfortable. Understanding these perspectives helps foster a more empathetic and thoughtful online community where conversations about respect and appropriateness are encouraged.

Yikes, that does sound super weird lol! Joking about someone else's kids, especially when they're not yours to joke about? Like, what's up with that? 🤷‍♀️
