I prayed for this cloud!
When I first came to the Lord, I prayed a simple, maybe even silly, prayer: ‘Lord, show me a heart-shaped cloud so I know You’re with me.’ Weeks went by, and I didn’t see anything. Then one evening, during my Bible study, my dog started acting like he urgently needed to go out. I was annoyed because I had just taken the dogs out. But his persistence won, and we headed outside.
As I stood there, probably still a little frustrated, I looked up… and there it was. My heart-shaped cloud. I couldn’t help but think how easily I would have missed that moment if I had ignored the interruption.
That moment reminded me how Jesus was never too busy to be interrupted. Whether it was stopping to heal the sick, taking time to speak with someone society overlooked, or responding to someone’s cry for help, He saw interruptions as opportunities to love, serve, and obey His Father. I’m learning that sometimes, the most beautiful answers to prayer happen when I’m willing to pause, set aside my own plans, and pay attention to the unexpected.
I didn’t ask for the cloud because I doubted God. I prayed for it because I needed reassurance of his presence during a difficult period of time in my life, and another thing I’ve learned is that when we ask in faith, God meets us in the most unexpected ways. 💖 #faith #faithjourney #godisgood #god is my shepherd
