🇯🇵 Honest review! How was the cost-effective accommodation in Shin-Okubo?
I chose this inn because it was easily accessible in Shin-Okubo. It is a very convenient place with convenience stores, restaurants, Korean town, and the station.
Booking.com before booking, I told them that I had seen a review that I was a little worried about by word of mouth and sent a message saying "We do not want to be disappointed." Then, I received a polite reply from the staff "We will do our best to make you comfortable." The response was also very quick.
Our room was on the second floor and check-in was smooth as it was a PIN door lock.
When I entered the room, it was clean overall and did not disappoint. However, it may not be suitable for those who expect the atmosphere of a luxury hotel. If anything, it feels like a family-friendly Airbnb. There were 4 beds and it was very comfortable.
On the other hand, the bathroom felt a little old. I think that it will be better if renovated. It was more like an apartment bathroom than a hotel, but I could use hot water and water without problems.
As a point of concern, it seemed that the dish sponge was not changed and there were several dishes left unwashed.
However, this is Tokyo, and the accommodation fee is very reasonable considering this location.
