I’M ✨PSYCHED✨ ABOUT THIS CHANGE TO SPOTIFY..
Wait… did you know that Spotify premium includes AUDIOBOOKS now? (I think maybe I’m slow on the uptake, but better late than never right?!)
Just realized this recently and I’m ✨ PSYCHED✨ about it!
I just finished listening to Matthew Perry’s memoir and I’m now listening to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. (It’s already fantastic, btw)
I’ve been listening in my car to and from work, at the gym, and in the shower. I’m hooked 🪝
Follow me for my take on the book when I finish it! 😘
Also, does anyone have any recommendations on what I should read or listen to next?! 📖📚📕
Spotify has added a significant feature for its Premium subscribers: audiobooks. This addition opens up a new world for book lovers looking to enjoy literature in a different format. With a vast library of audiobooks available, users can easily switch between music and stories, making their listening experience more versatile. Audiobooks are perfect for commutes, workouts, or simply relaxing at home. From memoirs to fictional tales, Spotify's audiobook selection caters to various tastes and preferences. The inclusion of popular titles, like 'The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo' by Taylor Jenkins Reid, allows fans of contemporary fiction to dive deep into engaging storytelling. This novel, which has been highly praised for its captivating narrative, is just one of many available. For those who enjoy non-fiction, memoirs like Matthew Perry’s provide a deep insight into the lives of celebrities, often revealing personal stories and vulnerabilities not generally shared in the public eye. The shift towards audiobooks reflects broader trends in media consumption. As people lead busier lives, the convenience of listening while multitasking offers a new way to engage with literature. Audiobooks also provide an accessible option for those who may face challenges with traditional reading, making literature more inclusive. The growth of this medium can be seen as part of a heightened interest in podcasting and audio content, which continues to thrive in today’s digital age. As Spotify evolves, it will be exciting to see what additional features and content they bring to the platform, enhancing the user experience for all types of listeners.

My favorite book of 2023 was Caraval by Stephanie Garber And if you are ever interested in Historical Fiction I’m currently read The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah or The Girl from the Train by Irma Joubert
