so back in the '90s, I remember that they started putting nutritional fact food labels on the products that you buy at the grocery store. It was also around the time that they started putting preservatives in the f o o d. I developed for sensitivities & allergic reactions. I had recently arrived from Puerto Rico, which is where I lived for about half of my life after leaving New York due to what they called stress and contamination induced asthma. It turns out that I had reactions to more than just my environment. Coincidently, it was only after I came to the United States. Fast forward to now having kids, I grew concerned with how to modify my diet to avoid the exacerbation of inflammation and the manifestation of skin ailments. Since that later manifested as autoimmune diseases in myself. My brother and I tested sensitive to most of the USDA products frequently pushed by the US, the wheat in bread and pasta, the peanut butter, almonds, dairy tuna & seafood, and shellfish included. After taking my children to have an allergen sensitivity test, they resulted in the same sensitivities. These are alternatives that I rely on because they taste like the real thing.
