私も最初にソックスとシューズが一体化したタイプのファーストシューズを試したとき、赤ちゃんに上手く履かせられず苦戦しました。靴が柔らかくて動きやすい反面、形が変わりやすいため履かせる際に足をうまくすべり込ませるのが難しいのです。私が試してみて良かった方法は、まず赤ちゃんの足を引っ張るように軽く持ちつつ、もう片方の手でソックス部分の伸縮性を活かして根元からゆっくり足を滑り込ませることです。また、足首の部分をしっかり引き伸ばしておくと入れやすくなりました。無理に力づくで履かせると赤ちゃんも嫌がってしまうので、根気よくゆっくり行うのがポイントです。さらに、温めておくことも効果的で、手で軽く揉んだり暖かい部屋で湿気を与えておくと素材が柔らかくなり、履かせる際のストレスが軽減されます。素材によっては洗濯後の方が柔らかくなっていることもあるので、事前に洗ってから使うのもおすすめです。私の経験から言うと、こうした一体型シューズは赤ちゃんの足を靴でしっかり守りつつ靴下のような履き心地を提供できるので、履きこなせるようになると非常に便利です。ですが、初めて使う方は履かせ方のコツを知っておくと心に余裕が持ててストレスも減ります。ぜひ他のママパパの知恵も集めながら試してみてください！
