群馬県桐生市で早朝から楽しめる「煮干しラーメン ゼクウ」は、朝7時から営業しており、地域のラーメンファンに愛されています。店主は地元で名高い「らーめん芝浜」で修行した経験があり、その味を受け継ぎつつも独自のアレンジを加えています。 私が訪問した時は11時頃で、すぐ入店できましたが、すぐに満席となるほどの人気ぶりでした。看板メニューの鶏煮干しラーメンは、煮干しの風味がしっかりと感じられて、とても印象的でした。麺は硬めが標準ですが、柔らかめにしてもらってもコシが感じられるのは、食感の良さが魅力ですね。個人的には、煮干しが好きな方には刺さる味わいで、やや苦手な方は好みが分かれるかもしれません。 そして、特徴的なのがトッピングのネギの代わりに玉ねぎが使われている点。シャリシャリした生の玉ねぎがスープに軽いアクセントを与え、辛味は控えめなので食べやすいです。チャーシューは肩ロースとウデ肉から選べ、どちらも大きくてホロホロの食感が最高でした。 また、運が良ければ、鶏煮干しラーメンの最後の一杯を注文すると特典としてチャーハンが無料でついてきます。チャーハンはメニューにないレアな逸品で、これも絶品。ご年配の方から若い男性客まで幅広く支持されており、特に男性のガッツリ朝ラー需要に応えています。 さらに次回の楽しみとして和え玉も気になっています。量が多いので今回は諦めましたが、息子が帰省した際にはぜひ挑戦したいと思います。朝からモリモリ食べたい方、煮干し好きな方はぜひ一度足を運んでみてください。地元の朝ラー文化を体感できるおすすめスポットです。
