「桐生のパン屋さん、テレビで紹介されてた？」と気になって調べてる人は、まずは“何が人気で、いつ行けば買えるか”が知りたいはず。私が行ったパンマーレ相生店は、桐生・みどりエリアの地元民から長年愛されているタイプのベーカリーで、焼きたての種類がとにかく豊富でした。初訪問でも選びやすい雰囲気なのが嬉しいところ。 目当てが「パンマーレ グランプリ」関連なら、やっぱり外せないのが優勝（グランプリ受賞）の“あんバタ”系。あんバタ岩塩フランスは、ハード系なのに食べやすくて、岩塩がちゃんと仕事してくれるから最後まで重くならない印象でした。持ち帰りの場合は、食べる前に少しだけリベイクすると外側がパリッと戻って、バターの香りも立ちやすいです（焦げやすいので短時間がおすすめ）。 それと、店名で検索すると「ブレッテリアって何？」と迷う人もいるかも。パン屋さんって、系列・ブランド名・呼び方が混ざって検索結果が分かりづらいことがあります。迷ったら「パンマーレ 相生店」「桐生市相生町 パンマーレ」で地図検索するのが一番早いです。 あと個人的に推したいのが、注文してから焼いてくれるパニーニ。焼きたての外カリッ＆中とろ〜りは、テイクアウトの惣菜パンとは別物でした。スープ付きの日は軽めのランチにもできるので、パンをたくさん買いすぎたくない日にも助かります。 行くタイミングは、朝から営業している分「売り切れが早い日もある」前提で動くのが安心。確実に買いたい人は早めの時間帯に行って、気になるパンは先に確保→最後に甘い系を選ぶ流れが失敗しにくいです。遠方なら、冷凍パンの販売があるのもありがたいポイント。まずはグランプリ受賞パン＋気になった惣菜パン1つ、みたいに“指名買い”から入ると満足度高いと思います。
