Meeting Andreja....she seems nice 😃
After my initial meeting with Andreja, I've spent a lot more time adventuring with her in Starfield, and let me tell you, she's one of the most intriguing companions I’ve encountered! While my first impression was that she seemed 'nice,' I quickly learned there's a lot more beneath the surface. As the game unfolds, you realize she carries a lot of baggage, and she can get 'very angry' if your actions cross her moral lines. I've personally seen her disapproval skyrocket when I've engaged in piracy or even picked a lock that wasn't strictly necessary. It really makes you consider your choices when she's by your side! It’s clear Andreja has been through a lot, and sometimes she really does need that 'sit on the couch and talk about your day type of help,' as the game subtly suggests through her dialogue and reactions. She's not looking for you to solve all her problems with 'hot lead' – she craves understanding, empathy, and a safe space to share her burdens. Building a strong relationship with her involves more than just fighting alongside her. She deeply appreciates honesty, courage, and a dedication to justice, especially when dealing with the mysteries of the universe and the artifacts. Engaging in dialogue options that show you care about her past and feelings, and always prioritizing helping those in need, will significantly deepen your bond. For instance, during various Constellation missions, her approval often increases when you choose diplomatic solutions, protect the innocent, and express curiosity about the temples. On the flip side, actions like smuggling contraband, being unnecessarily aggressive, or supporting corrupt factions will quickly earn her ire. What I've found most effective is taking the time to listen to her personal stories and choices. She values loyalty, and defending her when she's questioned or offering comfort during difficult moments can lead to some truly heartfelt companion moments. You might even hear her allude to past struggles, making you wonder about the 'back shot' comments from the OCR – perhaps a metaphor for deep-seated emotional wounds rather than literal combat. Understanding her unique needs – that she needs a confidante, not just a fighter – is key to unlocking her full potential as a companion and experiencing her compelling personal questline. She's not just another follower; she's a complex individual with her own struggles and triumphs. My advice? Don't rush her; let her open up at her own pace. Respond with genuine interest and compassion, and you'll find a fiercely loyal friend and perhaps even a romantic partner. It’s a truly rewarding experience to see her open up and trust you, transforming from a guarded individual to a loyal friend who will always have your 'back' in more ways than one.
