Peanut butter cookies are a beloved treat that can bring back fond childhood memories. The ingredients for this recipe include 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup of softened butter, and 1/2 cup of peanut butter. You'll also need 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and 1 egg for added richness. Flour is essential, requiring 1 and 3/4 cups, along with 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to balance the flavors. To create these delightful cookies, start by creaming the sugars and butter until the mixture is fluffy. Gradually incorporate the peanut butter, vanilla, milk, and egg into this mixture. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients—flour, baking soda, and salt—and then combine them with the wet ingredients for a cohesive dough. Roll the dough into balls and gently flatten them with a fork before baking them in a preheated oven at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Enjoy the aroma of freshly baked cookies wafting through your home, and savor the deliciously nutty flavor packed into each bite. These cookies not only make a scrumptious snack but can also be a fun baking project to share with your loved ones, creating lasting memories in the kitchen.
