Something I love：my daughter! To be so young it is soo inspiring to see how this little munchkin looks at life. She is completely green to the evils of the world and sees everyone new that she meets as a new friend.
I often struggle with keeping her in her youthful ignorance. I feel like she has more than enough to deal with and I don’t want to have the #beingblackinamerica conversation just yet. Besides she is only 3.5!
My blog/page/post? Will primarily be about how I navigate being a first time mom,being a newlywed (9/30/22)staying fly and living fabulous in your 40s, and here’s the big one , navigating and caring for a toddler with leukemia all while having my own autoimmune disease (I have MS). So yea you can only imagine what my CVS bills look like😆
So yea I’m a big ole barrel of laughs( my humor is often dark, ironic, and deadpan 🤷🏾♀️) I choose to see the beauty in everything everyday. Because why not?
I’m always telling people that if they only knew me back then…in my old life I was a pr girl running the streets of Atlanta . I knew every club owner,promoter,bouncer, bartender and d-boy by name. And I had a cushy gig at the Weather Channel, and zero responsibilities!
But then one day after I started a new job with clear Channel ( now called Iheartmedia) I started to get really tired( like crazy tired like most debilitating tired that I had ever felt)then I started to lose my balance ( that was a frikin hoot) I was falling all on the ground in my heels! As one would imagine, this was the point that I went to the er and subsequently got my life changing diagnosis.
So long story short, that’s me! I love reading , shopping, eating skinny pop popcorn, drinking red wine, and following up on the latest in pop culture.
