Just saw a survey from the international media about the Galaxy S26 Ultra that was released for a while. It turned out that more than half of the people said it was quite disappointed. The overall sales would look good, but the feeling of many fans saw it as just a S25.1 Ultra model rather than a leap.
Why do people feel that way? The first is about materials that change from titanium to aluminum frames, which many consider to be a cost reduction, even to help with weight and cooling. But when we pay the flagship, we want a more premium on our hands, right?
As for the specification, many of them are batteries that still provide the same 5,000 mAh for many years. While other brands have gone much further, the S Pen has no Bluetooth back, and there is no MagSafe, as many have been waiting for. The screen with the Privacy Display feature, although it helps with privacy, has to be exchanged for a halved resolution when activated.
But the added advantages are enough. For example, the rechargeable system has moved up to 60W (from the original 45W). The main camera and the 5-fold zoom lens have a wider aperture adjustment to shoot in low light. There are new AI features like image integration or Audio Eraser that make it more advanced, including 24MP photo mode that allows for more detailed images.
In a nutshell, if someone is holding the S25 Ultra in their hand, this S26 Ultra move may not be worth much. Keep the money waiting for the S27 Ultra that is rumored to be a bigger change. But if someone uses an older model like the S24 or a non-Ultra model and wants to experience the AI feature with an improved camera, this move is still an appropriate upgrade.
