Righteousness Reckoned: The Power of Belief in Alahim’s Promise
Beloved brothers and sisters, the foundation of our walk with Alahim has always been belief—not performance, not works of the flesh, not outward signs, but a heart that fully trusts Him.
Scripture declares, “And he believed in Yahuah; and He counted it to him for righteousness.” — Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 15:6
Before any law was given, before circumcision, before ritual, Aḇraham simply believed Yahuah. He trusted the promise even when there was no physical evidence. And based on that belief, Alahim counted him as righteous.
This same truth is confirmed in the Renewed Covenant: “Is this blessing then upon the circumcised only, or also upon the uncircumcised? For we affirm: Belief was reckoned unto Aḇraham for righteousness.” — Romiyim (Romans) 4:9 TS2009
This shows us that righteousness does not begin with what we do outwardly, but with what we surrender inwardly. Circumcision of the flesh did not make Aḇraham righteous—belief did. And today, it is still belief that Alahim is looking for.
True belief is not empty words. It is trust that obeys. It is faith that moves the heart to follow. When we believe Yahuah, we align our spirit with His will, and Alahim counts that surrender as righteousness.
Let this encourage you: You don’t have to be perfect to be counted righteous. You have to be willing. Willing to trust. Willing to obey. Willing to believe even when the path is unclear.
Righteousness is not earned. It is reckoned by Alahim through wholehearted belief.
