Found Without Seeking: When the Most High Reveals
Found Without Seeking: When the Most High Reveals Himself
Brothers and Sisters, these verses reveal a powerful and humbling truth about the mercy and sovereignty of the Most High. Through the prophet Yesha’yahu, Yahuah declares, “I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not… unto a nation that was not called by my name” (Yesha’yahu/Isaiah 65:1). This is not a contradiction to His righteousness, but a revelation of His grace and purpose.
Sha’ul (Paul) confirms this truth when he writes, “And Yeshayahu boldly says, ‘I was found by those not seeking Me, I was made manifest to those not asking for Me’” (Romiyim/Romans 10:20, TS2009). The word boldly matters. This was not a hidden or quiet statement—this was a direct declaration that the Most High would reveal Himself beyond the expectations of men.
These verses confront pride, religious entitlement, and the assumption that lineage, tradition, or prior knowledge guarantees favor. Many who believed they were closest to Alahim hardened their hearts, while others—who were not actively seeking Him—responded when He revealed Himself. This shows us that awakening is not initiated by human effort alone, but by the calling and mercy of Yahuah.
Yet this does not remove responsibility. When He says, “Behold Me, behold Me,” (Yesha’yahu 65:1) it is an invitation and a warning. Once He reveals Himself, ignorance is no longer an excuse. To be found by Him is a gift; to then reject Him is rebellion.
For us today, this is a call to humility and discernment. Do not assume that because you speak His Name, know His Torah, or walk among believers that you cannot be corrected or awakened further. And do not despise those who are newly awakening, even if they came from places of ignorance or deception. Yahuah is gathering whom He wills.
Let us respond rightly—to be found and then to walk in obedience, gratitude, and truth. May we never resist Him when He says, “Behold Me.
