I’m going to speak on something that doesn’t get talked about enough…
Entitlement dressed up in righteousness.
There is a spirit moving where people claim the narrow way…
quote Scripture…
speak deep, swelling words…
…but everything still points back to self.
Their needs.
Their feelings.
Their image.
Their voice being heard.
And somehow…
everyone else is expected to bend, adjust, and submit to it.
But let’s be clear—
that is not the narrow way.
📖 “Enter in at the strait gate… because narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” — Matthew 7:13-14
The narrow way requires death to self, not elevation of self.
📖 “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” — Philippians 2:3
📖 “For all seek their own, not the things which are of Messiah…” — Philippians 2:21
That means…
if everything revolves around you—
your comfort, your validation, your control—
you may be speaking Scripture, but you’re not walking it.
Because truth lived out will always produce:
• humility
• consideration
• accountability
• and love that doesn’t demand its own way
📖 “Charity… seeketh not her own…” — 1 Corinthians 13:5
There is nothing more dangerous than someone who knows how to sound righteous…
but refuses to be refined.
Who can quote the Word…
but won’t be corrected by it.
Who claims the narrow path…
but makes everyone else carry the weight of their uncrucified flesh.
This is a hard truth… but it’s necessary:
Following the narrow way is not about how powerful you sound…
it’s about how much of yourself you’ve truly surrendered.
📖 “Why call ye me, Master, Master, and do not the things which I say?” — Luke 6:46
This walk was never meant to be centered around self.
It’s about dying daily…
so that something pure, set-apart, and real can actually live through you.
Check the fruit.
Not the words.
