It’s so exciting to me that TCM is having a moment right now. So I thought I’d share some TCM tips, like the fact that cold feet, skipping naps, and iced drinks might be the cause of your dysregulation.
These are some of the Chinese Medicine tips I return to again and again. I know that it’s impossible to follow all of them (I definitely don’t every day), but even if you can tick a few of these off, you will see huge improvements in your entire life, not just your wellbeing.
Because when women come to me feeling inflamed, exhausted or stuck in a loop of “I’m doing everything right and nothing is working”… this is where I always start.
These small things, done consistently, can create massive transformation, not just in how you look, but how you feel.
Which one of these surprised you the most?

If you're feeling inflamed, exhausted, or stuck in a health rut despite trying everything, incorporating these simple Chinese Medicine practices could be a game-changer. Starting with aligning your lifestyle to your body's natural organ clock is key. For example, going to bed by 10 PM allows your liver and gallbladder to detox effectively overnight, which can ease PMS symptoms and improve digestion. Warming your feet consistently, even by wearing socks indoors, supports your kidney energy and blood flow. The feet are home to important yin meridians, so keeping them warm helps prevent stagnation that can cause cramps or fertility issues. Similarly, keeping your lower abdomen and lower back covered protects your reproductive organs and kidney areas, supporting your cycle and fertility. In addition to warmth, gentle, low-impact movement such as tai chi, qi gong, yoga, or walking helps move your qi without triggering excessive cortisol release, unlike high-intensity workouts. Restorative exercise can promote balance, reduce stress, and improve energy levels. Daily acupressure is another beneficial ritual many women find relief in—from alleviating period pain and stress to enhancing beauty routines when combined with gua sha techniques. A short, strategic nap (around 20 minutes) between 11 AM and 1 PM or between 1 PM and 3 PM aligns with your organ clock to boost mood, energy, and hormonal balance. Eating seasonally and locally grown foods offers the body the most supportive qi for the time of year, nourishing you naturally. Lastly, refining your coffee ritual by opting for blends like Two Farms Mushroom Coffee, which combines Arabica coffee with reishi, lion’s mane, and other traditional medicinal mushrooms, supports both physical and mental wellbeing without the jitters of conventional coffee. By consistently adopting even a few of these habits, you can experience profound improvements not just physically but emotionally and mentally. These tips, rooted in centuries of TCM wisdom, offer accessible ways to help your body find balance and thrive in a holistic, natural way.
