How did I do?
Forgot to post this custom from the other week! My favorite is when someone sends me a sketch they drew and I get to bring it to life ✨ I can go into so much more detail with custom work than I can with the mockup packs. I actually try to make the mockups pretty plain so you can really make them your own, but with customs I make them as detailed as possible so you can get all the details you want! With these jeans I had to create every little distress string one by one 😅
Delivering custom designs demands a blend of creativity and technical skill. Artists often receive initial sketches, which they then transform into detailed realities, a process that can reveal the depth of a designer's craft. This meticulous work goes beyond mere replication; it involves enhancing every aspect of the design. For example, each distress string on a pair of jeans can be painstakingly created one by one to achieve authenticity. In the realm of graphic design, understanding client needs is crucial. Effective communication helps build accurate representations of their visions. Moreover, engaging with the design community through hashtags like #graphicdesign and #clothingdesigner can provide insights into best practices, emerging trends, and techniques to refine one's skills. Whether you’re just starting in graphic design or looking to dive deeper, embracing both custom projects and mockup creations can expand your portfolio and enhance your credibility as a designer. Leveraging platforms like Lemon8 can also foster connections with like-minded creatives who share a passion for design.
