Throne of Glass Series - A Rollercoaster of Feels
This series took me on an epic journey, and I have so many thoughts! Let’s dive in:
When I started Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight, I wasn’t super attached to the characters. Honestly, I wish I had taken Booktok’s advice and read Assassin’s Blade first—it was AMAZING! It gave me the backstory I needed and made me fall in love with the series. By the end of Assassin’s Blade, I was hooked, and then Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, and Empire of Storms completely consumed me. 🖤🔥
Speaking of Empire of Storms, THAT cliffhanger wrecked me! I regret not doing the tandem read with Tower of Dawn (thank you again, Booktok, for the missed tip). At first, I cringed at the thought of reading a whole book about Chaol, my least favorite character, but… surprise! Once I got into it, I actually liked his story. Who knew?!
As for the characters:
• Aelin is EVERYTHING. I don’t care if some find her annoying—her badass, fiery attitude is my vibe. 💥👑
• Dorian took a while to grow on me, but now I adore him. His journey is so well done.
• Manon and Abraxos? Obsessed. A witch and her wyvern—what’s not to love? 🖤🐉
• Lysandra is one of my absolute favorites. Her loyalty and strength are unmatched. 🙌
Now I’m 60% through Kingdom of Ash, and I’m emotionally preparing myself for the finale. This series has been a wild, emotional ride, and I don’t want it to end!
