For moving on and letting go 💕🌟

Hi friends! 🍋

Lots of situations we deal everyday can be uncomfortable and painful. The end of a relationship is one of them.

It sucks… I know. Letting go of someone we used to love is not easy.

One of the things that helped me a lot when I was facing a breakup was journaling my thoughts and feelings.

When I broke up with my ex, because he cheated on me, I got lost. I was feeling very insecure, not feeling I would be enough to any person.

I tried to put the blame on myself, because if he decided to cheat on me, it was because of me.

But then I started to write journals. All the lost thoughts that I was keeping inside of my head I put in the paper.

It helped me to read it out loud and see the big picture. Most of the thoughts I was feeling was not right or fair.

The reason of the breakup was not me. I couldn’t blame myself. I gave my 100% everyday, it’s not my fault if my ex couldn’t appreciate it.

Listen, if you are facing a breakup because your partner cheated on you, never blame yourself! They didn’t cheat on you because you were not good enough.

It doesn’t matter how good you are, how beautiful you are… if you are not with the right person, every single think you do will not be validated.

Then you ask: but Thamy, how do I know if I’m dating the right person?

The answer is simple: if you know who you are and what you deserve, you know if you are spending your time if the right person. It works for both relationship or friendship.

The difficult part is getting to the point you know yourself enough to value your feelings.

I had a few breakups, I didn’t find the right person fast. But every single heartbreak I turned that lost feeling into learning more about myself.

The point of the journal is writing down all the feelings inside of your head and use them to learn more about what you deserve.

Best of luck! And if you need to talk, I’m here for you. ❤️

... Read moreHey beautiful people! 👋 Building on what I shared earlier about navigating a breakup, I really want to dive deeper into how journaling can be your absolute best friend during this tough time. When you're feeling lost, confused, or just plain heartbroken, putting pen to paper can be a powerful act of self-love and healing. It’s not just about venting; it’s about understanding yourself better and paving the way for a stronger future. Let's talk about specific breakup journal prompts that can truly unlock those hidden feelings and help you process everything. Think of these as guided conversations with yourself, giving you the space to acknowledge your pain and find your way forward. 1. Processing the Pain & Unfairness: One of the first steps is acknowledging what happened. Ask yourself: *What was unfair in the relationship?* (This prompt from my journal helped me see things objectively.) Don't hold back. Write down every perceived injustice, not to dwell, but to release it. *What emotions am I feeling right now? Where do I feel them in my body?* This helps connect with your physical and emotional state. *What assumptions did I make about this relationship that turned out to be untrue?* 2. Understanding Your Ex & the Breakup: It’s crucial to separate yourself from the blame. My journal helped me understand that an ex's actions aren't always a reflection of your worth. Try these: *List 3 reasons why your ex is not the right person for you.* This isn't about bitterness, but about affirming your future needs. *What were the red flags I might have ignored?* (Be kind to yourself here, it’s for learning, not self-criticism.) *What did I learn about myself from this past relationship?* Every experience, even painful ones, offers lessons. 3. Facing Fear & Letting Go: Moving on can feel scary, like losing a part of yourself. Journaling helps confront those fears head-on. *What am I afraid to let go of?* Is it the routine, the shared dreams, the identity you had as a couple? Naming it helps you deal with it. *What would my life look like if I fully embraced this new chapter?* *What do I need in order to heal?* This is a powerful prompt that guides you towards self-care. 4. Redefining Yourself & Your Future: This is where you reclaim your power and focus on what you truly deserve. *How do I feel about myself right now?* (Be honest! Even if it's 'not great,' writing it down is the start.) *What are you not willing to tolerate anymore in a relationship?* This helps set boundaries for future connections. *What qualities do I value most in myself?* *What kind of person do I want to be and what kind of relationship do I truly deserve?* Tips for Making Journaling Work for YOU: No Rules: There's no right or wrong way. Write or doodle, use bullet points or long paragraphs. Just get it out. Find Your Space: A quiet corner, a park bench, your bed – wherever you feel safe and unjudged. Be Patient: Healing isn't linear. Some days you'll write pages, others just a few sentences. That's okay. Re-read (When Ready): Going back to old entries can show you how far you've come and provide fresh perspectives. It helped me see the big picture. Journaling during a breakup isn't a quick fix, but it's a profound tool for self-discovery and emotional processing. It helps you untangle complex feelings, understand your needs, and ultimately, build the strength to move forward. You are strong, you are worthy, and you will get through this. Keep writing, keep healing! ❤️
