A niche Gothic romance inspired cakeš§”
I saw the dress in the movie and immediately thought it could make such a neat/unique cake! May not be everyoneās cup of tea, but I do absolutely love this abstract cakeš„°
Also, I want to take a moment to mention while I have not posted a whole lot on this app concerning why it is that we started this bakery and what our plans are I hope to post more behind the scenes and more informational content going forward regarding why we desire to open a bakery in the first place. (I do so on TT and YT) as it is my husband and Iās heart to open a bakery that also serves as a safe Haven and resource center for those in need as well host to support groups, soup kitchen and craft nights, etc. Currently tensions are very high in our country and worldwide. I do not like the idea of appearing ignorant to the times that we are in on social media. I want everyone to know no matter what kind of life you live, beliefs you follow or party you may affiliate with, at the end of the day, we are all one people and my husband I have a heart to be united with our people, not divided, that is the true core and foundations of our lives and businesses (he is in construction) and we look forward to being able to open our bakery doors someday, but we are not so niave to acknowledge that no one knows what tomorrow promises and we may not ever have that bakery someday but we will not stop striving for it. Thank you all for being here, please stay safe and be open to building or joining healthy communities in your immediate areas. š«¶š§” #cake #nosferatu #cakedecorating #cakeideas #community
So many of you have asked about how I come up with my unique cake designs, especially for something as specific as this Nosferatu-inspired gothic romance cake! It really sparked a conversation, and Iām excited to dive deeper into how you can create your own stunning gothic desserts, whether for a dark romance book club gathering or a spooky-chic birthday. First off, capturing that gothic style isn't just about dark colors. Think about textures and details. For my cake, the abstract elements were key to mimicking the flowing, mysterious feel of Ellen's green dress from Nosferatu. When you're planning your own, consider using deep jewel tones like emerald green, sapphire blue, or ruby red alongside classic black and white. Edible lace, intricate piping, or even edible metallic accents can add that touch of old-world glamour. If you're looking for simple gothic cake ideas, don't feel overwhelmed. A basic round cake can be transformed with a dark ganache drip, some strategically placed edible black roses, or a dusting of silver luster dust. You could even use a stencil to create a subtle damask pattern. For a true gothic dessert, think about flavors too! Red velvet, black forest, or even a spiced chocolate cake with a dark cherry filling can really enhance the overall experience. Want to get more creative with gothic cake decorations? Iāve seen some incredible examples using edible sugar skulls for a Day of the Dead twist, or even miniature wrought-iron gate designs made from royal icing. For a dark romance book cake, you could literally create edible book pages with a quill and ink design, or incorporate elements from your favorite gothic novels. Imagine a cake adorned with edible raven feathers or tiny, delicate spiderwebs ā perfect for a gothic glamour cake! And for those planning gothic birthday cake ideas, think outside the box. Instead of traditional sprinkles, maybe use edible pearls or crushed dark chocolate for texture. A small gothic cake can be just as impactful as a large one, especially if it's intricately decorated. You could even make matching gothic cupcakes or cookies to create a whole dessert table. The key is to embrace the dramatic, the elegant, and a touch of the macabre in a beautiful way. Remember, baking should be fun and expressive. Don't be afraid to experiment with different techniques and inspirations. Whether it's a subtle nod to Nosferatu 1978 or a bold gothic skull cake, the most important thing is to let your creativity shine through. Happy baking, fellow dark romantics!
