Reading Review
I have so many thoughts and emotions. I AM HUNGOVER. I wanted to throw my kindle out. I cried.
I hurt for these characters. Wow wow wow. ❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of the most beautiful and heartbreaking books I've ever read!!! I don't think l've ever come across anything like this. THE WRITING WAS INCREDIBLE. I loved the analogies + metaphors. A story about UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
Jaime + B are the definition of IT'S ONLY EVER YOU.
Their love is magnetic, euphoric, all encompassing.
It's like falling in love for the first time. Walking into a house on fire knowing you will get burned, but craving the pain. Their love is good and bad.
The original ending was PERFECTION, but ! loved having Jaimes POV. This is a must read!!!

Okay, so you've just finished a book that ripped your heart out, put it back together, and then maybe ripped it out again. Sound familiar? That's what reading 'A Love Letter to Whiskey' felt like for me, and I'm guessing if you're here, you might be experiencing a similar 'book hangover.' It's that bittersweet feeling when a story is so good, so immersive, that you just don't want it to end, and nothing else seems to compare. First off, know you're not alone! Dealing with a book hangover is a real thing for avid readers. My go-to strategy usually involves a few steps. Sometimes, I'll pick up a light, fluffy read – something completely different from the emotional intensity I just experienced. Think a fun rom-com or a quick mystery. This helps cleanse the palate without trying to replace the masterpiece I just finished. Another trick I use is diving into fan theories or discussions about the book online. Hearing other readers' perspectives and feelings can be really cathartic and helps process all those emotions. And honestly, sometimes you just need to sit with the feelings, maybe re-read a favorite chapter, and let the characters linger a little longer. Now, if you're like me and you're already craving another story with that same 'incredible chemistry' and emotional depth, let's talk about what made 'A Love Letter to Whiskey' so impactful. The 'friends to lovers' trope, especially when combined with 'second chances' and that heart-wrenching 'right person wrong time' dynamic, is just gold. There's something incredibly satisfying about watching characters who already share a deep bond realize they're meant for more. The tension, the history, the undeniable pull – it makes for such a rich, complex love story. If you loved Kandi Steiner's writing and the emotional rollercoaster she delivered in 'A Love Letter to Whiskey,' you might want to explore more of her work. She's a master of crafting stories that really make you *feel*. Look into 'Local University' or 'The Boyfriend Pact' if you're keen on her signature blend of angst and undeniable connection. Beyond Kandi, if you're chasing that 'worth the hype' emotional reading experience, I'd suggest looking for books that feature similar tropes. For 'friends to lovers' with incredible depth, try 'People We Meet on Vacation' by Emily Henry or 'The Love Hypothesis' by Ali Hazelwood, though they might be a bit lighter on the angst. If 'second chances' and profound connection are what you're after, 'It Ends With Us' by Colleen Hoover or even some of Tijan's earlier works could be great picks, but be prepared for more emotional intensity. Ultimately, finding your next read after such a powerful book is part of the journey. Embrace the book hangover, know that it's a sign of a truly great story, and then dive back into the literary world when you're ready. There are so many amazing books out there waiting to give you another emotional experience!

One of my favorites so so good
