📍 Globalicious, Aurora, Ohio
We were on our way to Walmart when a window sticker caught my attention — the VIRAL fruit shaped ice cream! I immediately yelled “WE NEED TO STOP & GO INTO THIS STORE NOW!!” (I’ve been dreaming about these since leaving Florida, they are my favorite ice cream now) We discovered the new go to snack + candy store! We live 30 seconds down the road & hadn’t heard of this place yet. When we walked in, there were sooo many imported snacks, candies, drinks, & ice cream varieties! As much as there was though, the owner said the store was nowhere near full & that it was only the soft launch opening… he will be adding MORE shelves + FROZEN YOGURT! Now for the star of the store, not only do they have the viral fruit shaped ice cream, but also THE VIRAL hand painted fruit pastries! They have a personal Italian baker who paints these for them… they were incredible!! We are excited for the grand opening soon!
Since my initial visit to Globalicious, I've been back a few times, and honestly, each trip uncovers something new and exciting! If you're anywhere near Aurora, Ohio, you absolutely HAVE to put this place on your must-visit list. It's not just a store; it's an adventure for your taste buds. What truly sets Globalicious apart, beyond the initial TikTok-viral sensations, is the sheer variety and quality of their offerings. Let's talk about those viral fruit-shaped ice creams first. They're not just cute; they're incredibly refreshing and come in so many vibrant flavors. I've tried a few now, and they truly transport me back to my Florida days – definitely my new favorite! And the handmade fruit pastries? Oh my goodness. Knowing there's an actual Italian baker meticulously painting each one makes them even more special. They’re almost too beautiful to eat, but trust me, they taste as incredible as they look. I highly recommend picking up a few to share (or not!). Beyond the stars of the show, the imported snacks, candies, and drinks aisle is where you can really get lost. On my last haul, I grabbed some Super Cola from Japan and Pepsi lime from Japan – flavors you just can't find anywhere else locally. The Spezi orange cola from Germany was another fantastic discovery, a perfect mix of soda and orange juice. And for those with a sweet tooth, the Trolli peach mallow from Germany was a delightful, chewy treat. The shelves are constantly being restocked with new and intriguing items, from exotic chips and instant noodles to unique chocolates and gummies from all corners of the globe. It's like a mini international food tour without leaving Aurora! Even though it's still in its soft launch phase, the store feels vibrant and well-stocked. The owner mentioned they're planning to add even more shelves – I can't even imagine how much more amazing it will get! Plus, the promise of frozen yogurt has me eagerly awaiting the grand opening. This spot is quickly becoming my go-to for unique gifts, party snacks, or just a little treat for myself after a long week. If you plan to visit, I'd suggest going with an open mind and a little extra time because you'll want to browse every single aisle. Don't be afraid to ask the staff for recommendations; they're super friendly and passionate about their products. Globalicious isn't just selling snacks; they're selling an experience. It’s a genuine local treasure in Aurora, Ohio, and I'm so excited to see how it grows. You’ll definitely leave with a bag full of goodies and a smile on your face!
