i loved this book so much. i wish it was a tad longer tho and went in more depth with scenes of her playing.
i loved that the fmc was the star athlete and the mmc was the reporter. we donāt get many books where the fmc is the athlete.
i loved how this was a softball based book. itās very rare we get one based on the girls sport and if we do the guy is also playing a sport.
i love how she let down her walls and eventually let him in and how he put his career to the side to show her how much he really cares.
i definitely enjoyed this one.

It portrayed vulnerability alongside strength, which deepened my connection to their journey. If you're someone who enjoys sports romance but feels like most stories focus on male athletes, this book offers a unique perspective with the girl's sport firmly in focus. Also, the pacing might feel quick at times, so I personally wished for a bit more depth, especially scenes showcasing the FMC playing softball. Still, the blend of sports action and romantic development made it a memorable read. For fans of Sierra Zinkeās work or those seeking a heartfelt romance with a strong female lead and an engaging sports backdrop, 'The First Pitch' releasing on May 26th is a must-read. Iām excited to see more stories featuring female athletes taking center stage in the romance genre!
