Playing Helldivers 2 has been an eye-opener in understanding how critical teamwork is in cooperative multiplayer games. One common mistake I’ve noticed—and hope others avoid—is rushing in selfishly without supporting teammates or planning reinforcements properly. The phrase “This that greed they talk about in the Bible” perfectly captures the frustration when players prioritize personal glory over team success. During missions, supporting fallen teammates by reinforcing at the right moment can turn the tide of battle. For example, the SMG-37 Defender is a versatile weapon that, when used appropriately within a coordinated team, can provide necessary firepower without compromising others. However, if one player hogs objectives or ignores team calls for help, it often leads to failed missions. Mission Control requests for reinforcements are a lifeline, and learning when and how to call these in is essential. I’ve found that marking enemy positions and communicating effectively allows teammates to act cohesively, improving survival rates. On one occasion, a teammate’s prompt reinforcement saved me from a deadly encounter, highlighting how synergy can overcome even the toughest levels. Ultimately, Helldivers 2 is about trust and collaboration. Avoid being “that guy” who hinders progress with greed or poor coordination. Instead, embrace teamwork—pointing out enemies, supporting fallen allies, managing reinforcements, and selecting weapons that complement team dynamics. These practices not only enhance your experience but also build a community of reliable players who make every mission enjoyable and successful.
