This is my mini pig Millie! She comes to work with me everyday and loves it! #piglet#pig #piggy #pet#petfriendly
I've seen so many of you absolutely fall in love with Millie, my sweet mini pig, and I get it – she's pure joy! Owning a micro pig, or mini pig as many call them, is such a unique and rewarding experience. For anyone curious about what life is like with these adorable companions, let me share a bit more about Millie’s world, especially how she sleeps and what makes her such a special pet. One of the most common questions I get is about their sleeping habits, and honestly, Millie is a pro sleeper! You've probably seen pictures of her all curled up in her pet bed, sometimes even with her little pink bow, or snuggled in a grey blanket in the car. Mini pig sleeping is truly an art form. They love to burrow and find cozy spots. Millie often sleeps curled up in a tight ball, sometimes even face down, which always makes me giggle. It’s their way of feeling secure and warm. They need a soft, comfortable space, and I’ve found that a plush pet bed is perfect for her. Sometimes, she even naps in funny positions, like when she's resting her front legs on a low barrier or just dozing off in the passenger seat of my car. It just shows how adaptable and comfortable they become in their environment. Millie sleeps quite a bit, especially when she’s not busy exploring or coming to work with me. Piglets, just like human babies, need a lot of rest for their growth and development. It's not uncommon for her to have several naps throughout the day, in addition to a solid night’s sleep. I think that's why she's always so energetic and happy! Beyond sleeping, living with a mini pig like Millie, who has that distinctive black and white patch pattern and sometimes even a white stripe on her head, is full of delightful surprises. They are incredibly intelligent and can be trained, just like a dog. Millie loves her playtime, whether it's splashing around in her blue kiddie pool on a sunny day or snuggling up with our black dog on the wooden floor. Yes, they get along wonderfully! Introducing a mini pig to other pets needs to be done carefully, but once they bond, it's the sweetest thing to watch. They also thrive on companionship. Millie truly enjoys coming to work with me; she’s not just tolerating it, she genuinely loves the interaction and being part of my day. It's a testament to how social and affectionate these animals can be. If you’re considering a micro pig, be prepared for a pet that will steal your heart with their charm, their smarts, and their utterly adorable sleeping poses. They truly become a part of the family, bringing so much warmth and laughter into daily life.
