Hair growth while dying blonde

I have been trying to grow my hair out for years. my hair does not like to grow and it takes a very long time but i have some things that have helped a lot with my journey and i wanted to share that with you guys! 🤍#lemon8diarychallenge

washing hair: i like to wash my hair once a week and twice a week if it looks gross. it gives it time to absorb all the natural oils it needs. when i wash my hair i shampoo twice and once a week use my purple shampoo. then i use my hair mask and let that sit for 5-10 minutes and rinse than and then i condition my hair and get out of the shower.

after shower: after my shower i use a tshirt to dry my hair and wrap it and let it sit for 30 minutes. then i take my hair out and put products in my hair to help my hair be curly. after i just let my hair airdry.

other things: i try not to put heat on my hair. i will do multiple different hairstyles a week without putting heat on my hair. it has helped a lot and i enjoy doing different types of hair styles

i hope this helps and if you have any questions always put them done below 🤍🤍

... Read moreHi everyone! I know the struggle of trying to grow out blonde hair. It often feels like it takes forever, and sometimes it even seems like our delicate blonde strands just don't want to get longer, am I right? My own journey, starting from what felt like perpetually shoulder-length wavy blonde hair, to finally seeing significant length, has taught me so much. I wanted to share a few more things that really rounded out my hair growth routine and maybe they can help you too! Beyond the basics of washing and air-drying, I started paying more attention to what I was putting on my hair. When choosing shampoos and conditioners, especially for blonde hair, I look for formulas that are sulfate-free and packed with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid or argan oil. Since blonde hair can be more prone to dryness and breakage from bleaching, giving it extra moisture is non-negotiable. And that purple shampoo? It's a lifesaver for brassiness, but I make sure to follow up with a really rich hair mask to replenish moisture. Some weeks, I even swap my regular conditioner for a deep conditioning treatment. Another game-changer for me has been scalp care. Think of your scalp as the soil for your hair. If the soil isn't healthy, the plant won't thrive! I started incorporating gentle scalp massages a few times a week, sometimes using a rosemary oil blend diluted with a carrier oil like jojoba. It feels amazing and is supposed to stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles, encouraging growth. There are also specific scalp serums designed to promote hair growth that you can look into. And let's not forget what we put into our bodies! I truly believe that healthy hair starts from within. I try to eat a balanced diet rich in proteins, healthy fats (like avocados and nuts), and lots of fruits and veggies. Staying super hydrated by drinking plenty of water is also crucial. Some people find success with hair-specific supplements like biotin or collagen, but always chat with a doctor before adding those to your routine. Protecting your hair, especially delicate blonde hair, is just as important as encouraging growth. I switched to a silk pillowcase, and honestly, it’s made a huge difference in reducing friction and preventing breakage overnight. When brushing, I use a wide-tooth comb or a wet brush, always starting from the ends and working my way up gently. Avoid tight hair ties that can pull and snap strands; silk scrunchies are my go-to! And when I put my hair up, I opt for loose braids or buns to minimize tension. It’s truly a journey, and patience is key. There were times when I felt like my hair wasn't growing at all, but then I'd look back at old photos and realize how far I'd come. Taking "FROM THIS" to "To this" progress pictures, just like I did, can be incredibly motivating and help you visualize your growth! Remember, every little bit of care adds up, and soon you'll be rocking that gorgeous, longer wavy blonde hair you've been dreaming of.
