My Go To Fall Jackets
One of my favorite parts of fall is bringing out my jackets. I’ve been adding a few new staples to my collection and wanted to share some favorites.
This black leather bomber from Lioness is a go-to - versatile, chic, and under $100. They also have it in an army green I’ve been eyeing. I also just picked up a brown suede jacket from Zara and I’m obsessed. Such a perfect piece to transition into cooler weather.
And of course, a classic trench. This tan one from Meshki instantly elevates any outfit and makes me feel put together.
Okay, so you've seen my current favorites, but let's dive even deeper into making these fall jackets work for *you*! I've been experimenting with so many ways to style them, and I'm excited to share some more tips. First up, that gorgeous brown suede jacket from Zara! I'm truly obsessed with how easily it elevates any basic outfit. For a casual daytime look, I love throwing it over a simple white tee (just like in the picture!) and my favorite blue jeans with some ankle boots. But don't stop there! I've also paired mine with a flowy floral midi dress and western boots for a more bohemian, put-together vibe. It adds such a lovely texture contrast. If you're heading out for dinner, try it over a black turtleneck and dark wash skinny jeans with some heels – instant chic! The key is to let the suede be the star, so keep other pieces relatively simple. Now for the black leather bomber jacket. This piece is truly a chameleon! While I often wear mine casually with jeans, it's amazing how it can toughen up a softer look. I've worn my black leather bomber jacket over a silky camisole and tailored trousers for a cool, edgy evening look. Or, for a weekend vibe, try it with a graphic tee, leggings, and chunky sneakers. It gives off that effortlessly cool energy. And honestly, finding a good quality bomber under $100 like my Lioness one is a game-changer! And the classic long, light-colored trench coat? Seriously, a wardrobe superhero. Mine from Meshki instantly makes me feel polished. Beyond just wearing it open over jeans and a tee (as you see in my pics!), try belting it over a knit dress for a more defined silhouette. It's also perfect for layering over a cozy sweater when the weather gets truly chilly. Don't be afraid to roll up the sleeves a bit for a more relaxed feel. It's such a timeless piece that always looks sophisticated. Speaking of versatile jackets, I mentioned I'm eyeing a womens green bomber jacket – and for good reason! Green bombers are fantastic for adding a pop of color to neutral outfits. Imagine a forest green bomber over a black jumpsuit or with cream-colored cords. It's a fresh take on the classic bomber. If you're looking to expand your fall outerwear beyond these staples, consider other 'autumn coats' like a chic tweed cropped blazer for work or a more tailored event. They add structure and sophistication. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, a unique patterned tapestry jacket can be a real statement piece, perfect for adding an artistic touch to your fall wardrobe. When you're trying to 'find the jacket' that's right for you, think about your lifestyle. Do you need something for everyday errands, or do you want a statement piece for special occasions? Look for quality materials that will last, and don't be afraid to explore different brands. Zara, for instance, often has amazing trendy pieces like their suede jackets, but sometimes you can discover hidden gems from brands like Lioness. The key is to consider what gaps you have in your closet and what will truly make you feel confident and comfortable throughout the autumn season. Happy jacket hunting!
