Everyone’s gotta start somewhere
Dropped my oldest off for XC practice and thought it was time I get moving too! So I found a trail nearby and took a walk instead of sitting around wait g for him to be done at practice.
It’s not fast but I’m also nursing a sore Achilles tendon. So better to do something than nothing!!
Finding motivation to stay active can be challenging, especially for busy parents. Walking is a great low-impact exercise that can fit into any schedule. It not only helps with physical fitness but also boosts your mood and mental well-being. To make the most of your walks, consider setting small, achievable goals. Whether it's walking for a certain duration or distance, tracking your progress can be incredibly motivating. Additionally, ensure to listen to your body. If you're experiencing pain, like the sore Achilles tendon mentioned, adjust your pace and consult with a healthcare provider if necessary. Joining a local walking group or finding a walking buddy can also enhance your experience, making it more fun and engaging. Remember, every small step contributes to a healthier lifestyle; everyone’s gotta start somewhere!
