Whopper 2.0 at Burger King!!! 👑 🍔
Burger King says the Whopper is “new and improved.” 👑🍔 So I had to test it.
The flame-broiled taste is still classic Whopper. 🔥 But it honestly felt a little smaller—almost between a Whopper Jr. and the old Whopper.
The bun seemed softer… almost a little gummy.
Still filling though. The BK app made it cheaper, and bringing my own cheese saved $0.79.
So… is the improved Whopper actually better?
Would you try it? 👇

Okay, so I’ve shared my initial thoughts on Burger King’s "improved" Whopper, or as some call it, the Whopper 2.0. It definitely sparked some debate, and I know many of you are still curious if it’s worth trying. Beyond just the taste and feel, there are a few practical tips I wanted to share to make your next Burger King experience, especially with the Whopper, even better – and perhaps lighter on your wallet! First off, let’s talk about those savings. My little trick of bringing my own cheese saved me $0.79, which might seem small, but every penny counts, right? But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. If you’re looking for "current Burger King coupon codes" or just general deals, the Burger King app is your best friend. Seriously, download it if you haven't! I always check the "Offers" section before ordering. You'll often find exclusive discounts like BOGO deals on Whoppers, meal upgrades, or even free items with a minimum purchase. Sometimes they have specific "Whopper 2.0" promotions, so keep an eye out. Signing up for their Royal Perks loyalty program also means earning points with every purchase that you can redeem for free food later. It’s a smart way to get more bang for your buck, especially if you’re a regular. Now, regarding the "improved" Whopper itself and whether it truly feels "elevated," let’s manage expectations. While the "Classic flame-broiled Whopper taste" is undeniably still there and I still love that flavor, many, including myself, have noticed some changes. The most common feedback, which I agree with, is that it "feels smaller than the old Whopper," almost landing somewhere "between a Whopper Jr. and a full Whopper." So, if you're expecting the massive original, you might be a little surprised. And the bun? My experience was that the "bun slightly improved but a bit gummy – almost stuck to the roof of my mouth." While they aimed for a softer texture, it can sometimes be a bit too soft. It's not necessarily a negative for everyone, but something to be aware of. It's still "filling – gets the job done," but it's good to know what to expect before you unwrap it. For those wanting to make their Whopper experience truly their own, remember you can always customize! Ask for extra pickles, no onions, or even different sauces. Sometimes a simple customization can make all the difference to your enjoyment. And if you’re trying to compare it to other fast-food giants, remember Burger King's unique selling point is that signature flame-grilled taste. It sets it apart, regardless of whether you prefer the "old" or "new" Whopper. So, next time you’re craving a Whopper, remember these tips: check the app for deals, be prepared for a slightly different size and bun texture, and don't hesitate to customize to make it perfect for you! Happy eating!
