Happy hobby space
I firmly believe everyone needs a space where they can just be. For me, apart from going to concerts, I chose to have a display room/happy hobby space. I can go in here and forget about the rest of the world for a short time. #hobbycollector #hobbyroom #funkopop #mcfarlanetoys #gunpla
Creating my ideal hobby space has been such a journey, and I’m so excited to share more of what I’ve learned along the way! It's not just about having a room; it's about crafting a sanctuary where your passions can truly shine. When I first decided to dedicate a space to my hobbies, I started by thinking about what truly brought me joy. For me, it was my extensive collection of collectible figures, including Funko Pops, Gundam models, and various action figures. I knew I wanted a personal display space that wasn't just functional, but also inspiring. My first step was to declutter and identify the core items I wanted to showcase. This helped me get a clear picture of the storage and display solutions I'd need. One of the biggest game-changers for me was investing in good shelving and display cases. I found that a mix of open shelves for my larger Gunpla models and closed display cases for more delicate or prized Funko Pops worked perfectly. This not only protects them from dust but also creates a more organized and museum-like feel. I love arranging them by series or color, making it visually appealing and easy to find what I'm looking for. Don't underestimate the power of good lighting in your display cases too; it really makes your collection pop! Beyond just displaying, I focused on making the space comfortable. I added a soft, patterned rug to make the room feel cozier and more inviting. It’s amazing how a simple rug can define the area and add a touch of personality. I also made sure to have a comfortable chair where I can sit, admire my collection, or even work on a new model. Creating a dedicated crafting or building zone within the room, even if it's just a small desk, helps keep everything tidy and ensures I have all my tools at hand. My advice for anyone looking to create their own hobby space is to start small, identify what truly makes you happy, and don't be afraid to personalize it. It's not about having the most expensive setup, but about creating a space that reflects your unique interests and provides a genuine escape from the everyday. Whether it's for painting, collecting, gaming, or crafting, your hobby space should be a reflection of you and a source of endless joy. Happy collecting, everyone!
