Islam and the Defense of the Homeland

When it comes to Islam,

Many people may think of the sound of Asan at dawn.

Prayer on the carpet or bowing to God on a silent night

But indeed, Islam does not teach only how to believe in God, if it also teaches how to "live with the world" gently and responsibly.

Humans in Islam are called "Colifah," who are assigned to the world.

Not as an owner, but as a keeper.

So we have no right to destroy the land just because it makes a profit.

There is no right to destroy the sea simply because it is economically beautiful, and there is no right to push people out of their homeland simply because the word "prosperity" is said in a fancy way.

Homeland in the sense of people. Never just an area on a map.

But it's the sound of the waves we grew up with.

Is the first smell of rain on the original soil of the ancestors.

Is the cemetery where our loved ones sleep

Is a small mosque with the voice of an old man.

Is the sea that has fed people for generations.

And sometimes

Homeland is the only thing the poor have left.

Islam does not teach humans to be greedy.

Not taught to use resources heartlessly.

Not teaching little people to lose everything.

To make the other group more wealthy.

The Prophet said:

"If the end of the world is coming,

And in your hands is a seedling.

Then plant it. "

I always thought

This is one of the most magnificent wording of mankind.

Because even at the last second,

Islam also teaches humans to "create."

Instead of destroying

So...

When we see the forest felled,

The sea was assaulted.

The sea creatures are gone.

The river changed color.

The community was squeezed to silence.

Or the homeland is being turned into just an economic space.

That pain.

It's not a small matter of sensitive people.

But it is the cry of the heart

That still feels that nature is sacred.

And humans have no right to take everything from the world.

Just because of their own greed.

Protecting the Homeland

So it's not anti-civilization.

But is to ask

Who is that prosperity?

And is leaving anyone under its debris.

Because sometimes

What people call "development."

May be slowly destroying the spirit of the land.

And sometimes

Standing Protect Sea, Forest, River, Community Way

Including the dignity of small people.

Probably not just a social struggle.

But it could be one of the forms of faith.

Of people who still believe

God gave the world to man to take care of.

Not destroying until there is nothing left for later generations to love anymore
