Summer reading challenge
This summer, my local library hosted an awesome reading challenge. The best part? It was completely free to join! All I had to do was complete 12 activities from their booklet, and I got rewarded with a cool lunch bag and a cute cup sleeve.
The activities were so much fun and included things like:
* Reading a book set in another time period
* Trying a book recommended by a librarian
* Finally finishing that book I'd started ages ago
* Reading a brand new book from this year
* Playing a board game (who knew that counted as reading?!)
* Attending a library event
* Reading a genre I normally skip
* Even dressing up as a character from my favorite book!
There were tons of other options too, so it was easy to find 12 activities that I was excited about. The challenge was a great way for my kids and I to discover new authors, explore different genres, and visit new places to read.
If your library has a reading challenge next summer, I highly recommend signing up. It's a fun way to add some excitement to your reading routine and maybe even score some cool prizes!

I wish I asked my library about this for adults and they said they didn’t have anything!
