Hey everyone! After sharing a glimpse into my daily routine and my personal work space, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into how I create a sanctuary that supports both my productivity and my spiritual growth. It's more than just a desk; it's where I cultivate focus, creativity, and peace, especially with my bible study desk setup. First off, let's talk about setting up an inspiring work space. I've found that a clutter-free environment is key for a clear mind. Start by decluttering regularly, keeping only what you truly need within reach. Think about ergonomics – a comfortable chair and proper monitor height (like my dual monitor setup you might have seen!) can make a huge difference. For aesthetics, I love incorporating elements that bring me joy and calm. This could be a small plant, some inspiring artwork, or even a framed quote like “do it for you not them” to remind me of my purpose. Good lighting is also crucial, especially if you're like me and start your day early. Now, for the heart of my morning: my bible study desk setup. I believe having a dedicated spot makes it easier to commit to daily devotionals. My setup includes my physical Bible, a dedicated journal for notes and reflections, and a selection of colorful pens and highlighters. Sometimes, I'll use my tablet to access a 'Bible Study Dashboard' or digital resources, which is super convenient for cross-referencing or deep dives. I also keep a copy of books like 'POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS FOR BLACK WOMEN' nearby; these are incredible for starting the day with a strong mindset. The atmosphere is important too – soft backlighting and a calming playlist (think Gospel, RNB, or Lofi, like my 'Milk & Honey' by Auraè selection) really help set the tone for reflection and prayer. It’s not just about reading; it’s about creating a sacred space to connect and feed your spirit before the day officially begins. Integrating this spiritual practice with a busy work schedule might seem challenging, but it’s absolutely doable with a little planning. I rely heavily on my digital planner and Notion for content planning, which you might have spotted on my screens. I block out specific time in the mornings for my devotional and spiritual reading before I even check emails or dive into work tasks. This ensures that even on light workload days, my spirit is fed first. It’s about being intentional. After my spiritual time, I transition smoothly into work by checking emails and reviewing my calendar, often with a warm coffee and a simple breakfast like my turkey bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. This routine ensures I'm tackling my day with both a clear mind and a nourished soul. I hope these insights help you think about your own work space and how you can create a dedicated, inspiring bible study desk setup. Remember, it's all about making your space work for you and supporting your overall well-being. What are your favorite elements for a productive and peaceful desk?
