The little girl knew✨
This morning I was thinking about how, when I was little, I used to record myself on blank tapes pretending I was hosting a radio or talk show. Sometimes I would put on a horrible English accent, use my mom’s tea set, and record little audio dramas complete with sound effects from pouring tea. 😂
As a preteen — and even into adulthood — I constantly journaled. I went from composition notebooks to fancy journals from Barnes & Noble and little specialty shops.
Over the years I explored different hobbies and interests, but there was always one mission underneath it all:
to heal,
to inspire,
to motivate,
to help women see their worth and grow.
While trying to understand my own purpose, I was unknowingly collecting pieces of it the entire time.
There were things I was being prepared for as a little girl to step into this lifetime as an adult. The whole time I sought out God through prayer constantly to ask Him what my purpose was and the little girl knew. Adult Michelle had to go through twist and turns hurdles and obstacles and learn the value of her worth and through that healing and surrendering I became awaken to what was within me all along. Reflecting on my own journey, I realize how much the dreams and instincts I had as a child truly laid the foundation for my adult path. Like many, I spent years searching for purpose through various activities and interests, yet the core mission was always implicitly present—to heal, inspire, and empower others. This resonates strongly with the experience shared here, where childhood imagination and early expressions, like recording pretend radio shows and journaling, became symbolic practices that nurtured a deeper connection to one's destiny. It’s remarkable how much impact those small acts of creativity can have when we look back. Writing things down, praying over dreams, and picturing the future we want aren’t just child’s play—they are seeds planted for future growth. I’ve found that revisiting old journals or recalling childhood passions can spark powerful insights and affirmations about who we are meant to be. This ongoing process of healing and self-discovery often involves overcoming personal hurdles, much like the twists and turns mentioned in the story. In my own life, moments of surrender and faith have unlocked clarity about self-worth and purpose. The idea that “the little girl knew” all along is a profound reminder to trust that inner voice and early intuitive wisdom. Many women find empowerment in embracing their unique journeys with patience and faith, recognizing that what seemed like random dreams were actually destiny in disguise. For those on a similar path, I encourage incorporating regular journaling and reflective prayer or meditation to stay connected to your evolving purpose. Drawing on childhood memories and ambitions can serve as a compass during challenging times. Ultimately, nurturing that inner child’s vision alongside adult growth helps create a fulfilling and intentional life aligned with faith and self-worth.
