... Read moreWow, hitting Day 25 of my 75 Soft Challenge already! It feels like just yesterday I was starting out, full of nerves and excitement. For those curious, the 75 Soft Challenge is my personal spin on a longer wellness journey, focusing on daily habits to build a stronger mind and body. While the longer 75 Hard Challenge is very strict, the 'soft' version allows for a bit more flexibility, but the core principles remain: daily movement, healthy eating, and mental resilience. It's truly been my 'wildcard wellness' approach to feeling better every day. My main focus during these first 25 days has been consistent movement. Every single day, no matter what, I've committed to a workout. This isn't about extreme workouts, but rather building a sustainable routine. I've been mixing it up with a lot of cardio, strength training, and active recovery. For example, my cardio sessions often push my heart rate, aiming for a specific BPM zone to maximize fat burn and endurance. It's fascinating to track how my heart rate recovery has improved over these weeks, showing real progress in my cardiovascular fitness. One area I've truly seen significant improvement is my core strength. I used to dread planks, but now I can hold them for much longer, and my overall stability has improved dramatically. I’ve incorporated specific core exercises like Russian twists, bicycle crunches, and leg raises into almost every workout. This focus has not only toned my midsection but also helped with my posture and reduced back pain, making everyday movements feel easier. So, what are the 'results' from these first 25 days? Physically, I've noticed a significant increase in my energy levels. I wake up feeling more refreshed and ready to tackle the day. My clothes are fitting better, and I can see some definition starting to appear, especially around my arms and shoulders, and of course, my core. My sleep quality has also dramatically improved. Mentally, the biggest change has been my discipline. Sticking to a daily workout, even on days I really didn't feel like it, has built an incredible amount of mental toughness. It's taught me that I'm capable of more than I thought, and that consistency truly pays off. If you're considering a 25-day workout challenge or even the 75 Soft Challenge, my biggest advice is to start small and be consistent. Don't aim for perfection, aim for progress. Find workouts you genuinely enjoy, whether it's dancing, hiking, or hitting the gym. Hydration and nutrition are also key, supporting your body through all the hard work. Remember, this journey is about transforming not just your body, but your habits and mindset too. It’s been an empowering experience, and I can't wait to share more as I continue towards Day 75! You've got this!
