Gel X Nails @ Dollar .25 Tree!

I got the last one too! I checked the New Castle, De Dollartree and picked these up! I am building up my salon at home kit slowly but surely.

As a caterer, it’s hard to keep my nails done bc of how much wear and tear I have while prepping, delivering, setting up and cleaning. I’d be mad if I broke an acrylic nail and it split straight down to my skin!😬 That pain is NOT fun!

Check out your local Dollartree for the deals!

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen my Dollar Tree haul for Gel X nails, but let's dive deeper into making them last and look incredible, especially when you're on a budget like me! When I picked up those Ladybird artificial nails – the ones with 100 clear tips for just $1.25 – I knew the key to making them salon-worthy would be the glue. Finding good, reliable nail glue at Dollar Tree is totally possible. I've tried a few brands, and honestly, some of their generic ones work surprisingly well for the price. My biggest tip for using any Dollar Tree nail glue is all about prep. First, make sure your natural nails are clean, dry, and lightly buffed. This creates a better surface for the glue to adhere to. Then, apply a thin, even layer of glue to both your natural nail and the artificial nail. Don't go overboard; a little goes a long way to prevent bubbling and ensure a strong bond. Press and hold firmly for a good 10-15 seconds. For someone like me, who's constantly washing hands and dealing with wear and tear as a caterer, a strong bond is essential. I've found that with proper application, these $1.25 nails can last me well over a week, sometimes even two, without popping off unexpectedly. It’s such a relief not worrying about a broken nail mid-event! Now, about making these affordable finds look cute and high-end – that's where the fun begins! Those 100 clear tips from Ladybird are a blank canvas. You can get so creative without breaking the bank. My go-to is usually a simple, solid color using Dollar Tree nail polish. They have a surprisingly decent range of shades! For a true Gel X look, I'll often apply a coat of gel polish (if I have some from a beauty supply store, or sometimes even a regular polish with a gel top coat makes a huge difference) and cure it with a cheap UV/LED lamp I got online. But even without gel, you can achieve a cute look. Think about simple nail art: a delicate stripe with a thin brush, a few strategically placed rhinestones (Dollar Tree often has these too!), or even a glitter top coat over a nude base. Another trick I love is using a matte top coat over any color – it instantly elevates the look and makes it seem more expensive. Don't be afraid to experiment with different shapes too! Those clear tips are easy to file into an almond, coffin, or square shape after they’re on. It's all about making those $1.25 artificial nails look like they cost $50. It’s incredibly satisfying to get compliments on my 'manicure' when I know it cost me next to nothing to create at home. It’s all about smart shopping and a little DIY magic!

These nails are good and if you use them with the Sally nail glue. i got the little stand from amazon, and you paint the way you want and then let them dry and pop them on...
