SELF-LOVE / PEACE / HAPPINESS
⭐️ The only person you should try to be better
than is the person you were yesterday has been my 2024 mantra. It’s not about anyone else other than yourself.
⭐️ Self-love is the greatest revolution, who can say otherwise?
⭐️ The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart. And to be able to see this, takes growth.
⭐️ The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can alter his life by altering his attitude. One of my faves!
⭐️ The future belongs to those who believe in the
beauty of their dreams. This gives me hope and
encourages me to peruse my aspirations.
⭐️ Love yourself enough to set boundaries. Your time and energy are precious. Another mantra, this one is about self-respect and helps me prioritize myself. 🫶🏽
Any of these speak to you?

It's so wonderful to see how many of you resonate with the journey towards self-love, peace, and happiness! My initial post shared some of the powerful mantras that have really shaped my 2024. But sometimes, knowing what to believe isn't enough; we need to explore how to integrate these ideas into our daily lives, especially as women navigating a busy world. So, let's dive a little deeper into making these principles truly transformative. That first mantra, 'The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday,' isn't about perfection, it’s about gentle, consistent growth. For me, this looks like celebrating tiny victories. Maybe yesterday I procrastinated on a task, and today I just started it. That's a win! It’s about being kinder to myself, reflecting on my attitude without judgment, and understanding that every day is a fresh start to learn and evolve. This mindset really helps cultivate that inner peace we all crave. Speaking of inner peace, the idea that 'Self-love is the greatest revolution' truly hit home for me. In a world that often tells us to put others first, choosing yourself feels radical. It means listening to your body when it needs rest, honoring your feelings even if they’re uncomfortable, and understanding that your well-being isn't selfish, it's essential. This revolution starts with small acts of kindness towards yourself – a quiet cup of tea, a walk in nature, or simply saying 'no' to something that drains you. The quote about 'the best and most beautiful things' being felt with the heart, and how that 'takes growth,' reminds me of the importance of mindfulness. I've found that slowing down, even for just five minutes a day, to truly feel my emotions and appreciate the present moment, brings immense clarity. It helps me see beyond the superficial and connect with what truly brings me joy and contentment. It’s a practice, not a destination, and it certainly helps me feel like a more peaceful woman. And 'The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can alter his life by altering his attitude' – wow, this one is a game-changer! When I catch myself spiraling into negative thoughts, I try to consciously reframe the situation. Instead of 'This is impossible,' I ask, 'What's one small step I can take?' This shift in perspective has empowered me to tackle challenges with more resilience and less anxiety. It's about finding the silver lining, even on cloudy days. Lastly, 'Love yourself enough to set boundaries. Your time and energy are precious.' This has been my biggest lesson! I used to spread myself too thin, always saying 'yes.' But realizing my time and energy are finite, and incredibly valuable, has transformed my relationships and my peace of mind. Setting boundaries isn't about being mean; it's about self-respect. It’s about protecting your mental space and ensuring you have enough left for yourself to nurture your dreams and passions. For me, this has meant prioritizing my creative projects and knowing when to disconnect from social media. It truly is a path to becoming a more self-aware and peaceful woman. I hope these deeper thoughts help you in your own journey. Remember, cultivating self-love and peace is an ongoing process, but every small step forward makes a difference. What’s one mantra you’re embracing today?
