Ugh, where do I even begin with "Yumi and the Nightmare Painter?” I tried, I really did. Multiple attempts to get into this book, and each time I just hit a wall. The world building was impossible for me to follow, even imagine. The story felt confusing and honestly, I couldn't connect with the characters at all. Maybe it's just me, but I had to throw in the towel. 😩

“This was such a wonderful novel to read. A standalone fantasy with a well written, sweet romance that did some unexpected things. It's not a small novel, at a whopping 474 pages, but I powered through this, constantly wanting to know what would happen next.” 😑

These kind of reviews make me feel lost and broken!
