What can a Clinical Medical Assistant do?

Now that Im certified I started looking into everything a Medical Assistant can do. These are some tasks but can be less or more depending on the practice youre in.

- Vitals 🩺

- Drawing Blood 💉

- Performing an EKG 🫀

- Scheduling appointments 💻

- Removing Sutures 🪡

- Wrapping wounds 🩹

- Assisting your Physician ⚕️

- Managing Medical Records 📜

- Sterilization 🫧

the list goes on. As an MA you can apply to work in a lab and basically be a Phlebotomy Tech. You can also do strictly administrative duties or even more clinical.

I wonder what I should aim for after my externship. 🩺🖤
