Autism and ARFID do not have a say!

We declare that our children’s relationship with food aligns with Heaven’s original design. Fear, restriction, aversion, and torment surrounding food must bow to the name of Jesus. Autism and ARFID do not have a say over our children’s bodies, nourishment, or health. Their brains and bodies function in perfect peace and order. And it is so, in Jesus’ name.

Read moreFrom my personal experience, affirming a child’s relationship with food through positive declarations can be incredibly powerful, especially when managing challenges like Autism and ARFID. These conditions often involve fear and aversion around eating, which can significantly impact a child's nutrition and well-being. What resonated with me is how aligning this process with faith and spiritual affirmations creates a sense of peace and confidence in the child's body and mind. It's important to acknowledge that while medical and therapeutic interventions play crucial roles, the addition of faith-based support offers an emotional and spiritual boost. For example, regularly speaking affirmations such as "Fear and restriction have no place in my child's life" or "Their brain functions in perfect peace and natural order" can shift both the parent's and child's mindset towards healing. Moreover, embracing community resources like specialized coaching and supportive groups can enhance this journey. The integration of these resources—like the Blood Over Autism initiative mentioned in the article—provides practical tools and encouragement for families. Wearing symbolic items, like the Puzzle Piece T-Shirt or Hoodie, can also foster community connection and identity, which is not to be underestimated. Overall, approaching Autism and ARFID through declarations anchored in faith encourages not only physical nourishment but also a holistic sense of well-being. It reminds us that empowering our children starts with shaping how we view and talk about their challenges, reinforcing that these conditions do not define their potential or their bodies' capacity for health.
