New ABH Velvet Liquid Lipstick 💄
I tried out the new @Anastasia Bh velvet lipstick here are my thoughts!
Formula: I love the velvet matte cushiony feel
Pigment: High coverage
Longevity: Long lasting
Finish: Matte formula
Feel: To dry on the lips
I would recommend going in with a lip balm to add moisturizer because it does feel drying on the lip.
6/10

Okay, so I just shared my quick thoughts on the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Velvet Liquid Lipsticks, especially the shades Crush and Parchment. I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why I gave it a 6/10 and give you some more practical tips based on my experience! First, let's talk about these shades, because they're truly stunning and a big part of the appeal of these new velvet lipsticks. 'Crush' is this absolutely beautiful peachy-pink that feels perfect for an everyday pop of color or to brighten up a more subdued look. It's vibrant but not overwhelming, making it really flattering across different skin tones. Then there's 'Parchment,' which is a gorgeous rosy-brown. This one is such a versatile nude, ideal for cooler undertones or for when you want a sophisticated, understated lip. Both shades are incredibly pigmented, giving full, opaque coverage with just one smooth swipe – exactly what you'd hope for from a high-quality liquid lipstick. Now, about that drying feeling – it’s a common challenge with many matte liquid lipsticks, and the ABH Velvet Liquid Lipstick is no exception for me personally. The initial 'velvet matte cushiony feel' is definitely present; it glides on soft and smooth, almost like a whipped mousse, which is lovely. However, after an hour or two, I started to feel that familiar tightness. My number one tip, as I briefly mentioned, is proper lip preparation. Before you even think about applying your velvet liquid lipstick, make sure your lips are gently exfoliated and thoroughly hydrated. I like to apply a generous layer of a rich, emollient lip balm while I'm doing the rest of my makeup, allowing it plenty of time to sink in. Right before applying the lipstick, I gently blot off any excess balm. This creates a smoother, more comfortable canvas and a hydrating base without compromising the matte finish or longevity of the product. The longevity of this ABH Velvet Liquid Lipstick is actually quite impressive, especially if you're mindful of what you're eating. I found it withstood my morning coffee and light snacking quite well without needing immediate touch-ups. It tends to wear off gracefully from the inner lip, which is a plus because it avoids that awkward 'ring' effect. Reapplication is certainly possible, but I’ve learned it's best to gently blot off the old layer first if you can. Otherwise, layering on top of a dried-down matte can sometimes start to feel a bit thick and accentuate any dryness even more. So, who is this 'mua velvet matte liquid lipstick' ideal for? If you truly love a crisp, true matte finish and don't mind putting in a little extra effort for lip prep, these ABH Velvet Liquid Lipsticks could be a fantastic addition to your makeup collection. The color selection, particularly shades like 'Crush' and 'Parchment', is beautiful and impactful. However, if you have naturally very dry lips or consistently prefer a more hydrating, comfortable formula, you might find yourself reaching for a lip gloss or a satin-finish lipstick more often. For me, the stunning shades almost make the extra effort worth it, but that 6/10 rating reflects the necessity of careful lip preparation to maximize comfort and wear.

These are so pretty!!
