🎀 Coquette Makeup Tutorial 🎀
I'm normally not a pink type of girl but I'm really loving the coquette makeup trend! So I had to give it a go
Products I used:
DINTO COSMETICS : Blur Finish Shadow in Mary Shelley A neutral eyeshadow palette, perfect for an everyday makeup look. It's a soft matte, high adherence powder formula.
HOUSE OF HUR : Ampoule Blusher - Rose Brown Recently, l've been playing with Korean blushes and let me tell you it's been a learning experience they are a completely different formula compared to what I'm use to. This one feels lightweight and non-sticky. The pigment pay of was nice, i didn't find that I had to build up as much.
NUSE : Care Liptual - Cool Babe #2
I love love love these! I have very dry lips and I found that it helped maintain my lips moisturized throughout the day! I do like the tint it leaves behind which means I don't have to reapply as often. At first, when I saw Cool Babe I throught it was going to be a bit light on me but surprisingly it complimented my complexion.

Since falling in love with the coquette aesthetic, I’ve been experimenting with how to make the look truly versatile, especially for those busy school days or when I want something effortlessly chic. It’s all about embracing a soft, romantic, and subtly playful vibe. While the original article touched on the products, let’s dive deeper into how to achieve that perfect, school-friendly coquette look and even build your own affordable kit! First off, to make your coquette makeup subtle for school, the key is a light hand and focusing on enhancing your natural features rather than heavy application. For the eyes, instead of dramatic liners, I opt for a touch of the Dinto Eyeshadow in Mary Shelley. It’s a neutral shade that gives just enough definition without looking overdone. You can apply a sheer wash over your lid and perhaps a tiny bit along the lower lash line for a soft, dreamy effect. A little mascara, not too clumpy, completes the eye look. Remember, the goal is 'barely there' but still polished. Now, for that soft blush and glossy lips! This is where the coquette magic truly happens. For blush, if you're using a liquid or cream formula like the HOUSE OF HUR Ampoule Blusher, a tiny dot goes a long way. Blend it upwards towards your temples for a lifted, youthful flush. If you want a more diffused, natural look, try applying it under your foundation or tinted moisturizer. This gives the illusion that the color is coming from within. For lips, the NUSE Care Liptual in Cool Babe is perfect. The trick is to apply one thin layer for a subtle tint, then dab a bit more in the center of your lips for a plump, glossy effect without looking too intense. Keeping your lips moisturized is also crucial for that healthy, natural sheen – a good lip balm underneath helps massively. For those wondering about the cheapest way to build a coquette makeup look kit, you absolutely don't need to break the bank! Drugstore brands offer fantastic alternatives. Look for a rosy or peachy cream blush stick that can double as a lip tint. A tinted lip balm or gloss is a must-have for that signature glossy pout. For eyeshadow, a single shimmery pink or champagne shade can create a beautiful soft focus on the eyes. You can also find affordable brow gels to tame and define your brows, framing your face without harsh lines. Don’t forget a good, hydrating primer to give you that dewy base without needing heavy foundation. Beyond just makeup, the coquette makeup style extends to your overall presentation. Think soft, flowing fabrics, delicate accessories like ribbons or bows in your hair, and pastel colors. It’s about cultivating an aura of gentle femininity and charm. So, whether you're trying out a full coquette makeup look or just incorporating elements like the 'soft blush and glossy lips,' remember to have fun with it and make it your own!
