Perfume Update 💕 What I Finished
Perfume Update 💕 What I Finished & Won’t Repurchase #newperfume #expensive smell #smelllikeheaven
It's always a bittersweet moment when you finally spray the last drop of a beloved perfume, isn't it? My 'Project Use It Up' challenge has been going strong, and I've just emptied a few bottles that have been staples in my collection. This update isn't just about what I finished; it's about diving deep into whether these scents truly earned a spot back on my vanity. When it comes to "types of perfume scents," I've really explored a range this past season. I find myself often drawn to gourmands, especially those with comforting notes like VANILLA, MARSHMALLOW, and even hints of CARAMEL or COFFEE. There's something about these SYRUPY, sweet blends that just feels so inviting and cozy, perfect for cooler weather. But then there are the FLORAL fragrances, like those with Honeysuckle Jasmine or even the iconic FLOWERBONB style, which bring a totally different vibe – usually brighter and more uplifting. I've also been experimenting with richer, more complex blends, often with a touch of SAFFRON or other unique notes that give them a truly RICH and luxurious feel, making them stand out. Deciding whether to repurchase a perfume is a whole journey in itself. It's not just about liking the initial spray. For me, a perfume needs to be WEATHER FRIENDLY – does it perform well in different climates? Does it "last long" or fade quickly? Some perfumes are beautiful but their longevity just doesn't justify another purchase. Then there's the emotional connection; does it make me feel a certain way? Do I get compliments? For instance, I recently finished an EAU DE PARFUM from KAY ALI that had a beautiful blend, but I had to weigh if it truly stood out enough among my other favorites. Some scents, while lovely, just don't create that 'obsessed with perfume' feeling that makes you want to immediately replace them. I also pay attention to how versatile a scent is. Is it only good for special occasions, or can it be an everyday signature? For me, a true "will repurchase" scent is one that I reach for constantly, that feels like 'me,' and that sparks joy every time I wear it. Sometimes, even if a perfume has beautiful Bergamot or ORANGE top notes, the dry down might not live up to the initial promise. It's all about the full experience. My goal with "Project Use It Up" is to truly assess the value and enjoyment I get from each bottle before making a commitment to buy it again. It’s a great way to discover what truly resonates with your personal scent profile. What about you? What makes a perfume a 'must-repurchase' for your collection? I'd love to hear your thoughts and any scents you've recently finished!
