3 week starter loc update 😍😌😝

Hey girl heyyyyyyy,,, so ummmmmmmmm yeah I washed my hair 😂🤣🤣 I combined some locs & I changed my middle part 😬😬😬 I just couldn't take it! My scalp was itching so bad and my middle part was driving me craxy!!! Anyways I did a soft retwist because a few of my locs were coming loose!!! But I didn't have a hard time finding my parts! I'm sticking with this style for now until I feel comfortable doing barrel twist and styles on my own!!!

I have been using an itch spray by Jamaican mango & lime!! Also a dry scalp mixture of peppermint, rosemary, & black castor oil! The steam from the shower or just the natural sink water to mist my hair... ( I used sink water with my loose natural hair & I survived... I'll become rose water girl eventually.. but for now im using what I already have )... I washed my hair with carols daughter the black vanilla scent!!! I'm probably going to purchase the carols daughter rose water line... I'm loving this process!! My scalp feels so clean!!! The itching is torture!! 😂😂 but im trusting the process!! Thanks for interacting on here with me guys!! I'm open to suggestions always!!! 🥰🥰🥰 #locjourney #locjourneycontines #embracevulnerability #locinspo #selflove #selfcare #starterlocs #starterlocstyles #locupdate #locs

... Read moreStarting a loc journey can be both exciting and daunting, and my recent experience is a testament to that! With three weeks into my starter locs, I've learned the importance of choosing the right products to maintain scalp health. Using Jamaican Mango & Lime itch spray has helped alleviate discomfort caused by dryness, a key issue for many during the early stages of loc formation. Additionally, my blend of peppermint, rosemary, and black castor oil has been a game changer in keeping my scalp moisturized and itch-free. The process of retwisting can be nerve-wracking, especially when parts seem to come loose unexpectedly. However, I've discovered that the steam from hot showers provides an amazing mist to keep my hair refreshed. Although I haven’t yet transitioned fully to rose water, I'm exploring options to enhance my hair care routine. The cleansing power of Carol's Daughter products has left my hair feeling soft and revitalized—highly recommended for anyone on a similar hair journey. Engaging with the loc community has been a source of inspiration and aspiration. Sharing tips and tricks through hashtags like #locjourney and #starterlocs on social platforms has connected me with others who encourage and share their unique tips, turning this personal endeavor into a collective experience. Everyone's loc journey is different, and with each update, I am reminded that self-love and patience are paramount. So, if you’re also in the early stages of your loc journey, I encourage you to trust the process and share your experience! Let's uplift and inspire one another.

You shouldn’t wait months to wash your hair, in the beginning stages some locs are going to unravel because you haven’t started budding. It’s not good for your scalp health to not wash your hair, your locs will be just fine I promise 😂❤️❤️
